One of Joe Biden's first steps as President of the United States has been to reinstate the Spanish language version of the Whitehouse.gov website. The lack of an official Spanish language section on the White House's official website was a clear departure from standard practice and reflected Trump's political views during his time in office. An omission ideologically on par with the controversial and ecologically-devastating, Mexican wall. In a flurry of new orders, President Biden has also cancelled the Keystone XL Pipeline and rejoined the Paris Climate Accord. The relaunch of the Spanish website is good news for millions of Hispanophone Americans and offers a glimmer of hope that we will see a more peaceful period in American politics that embraces the nation's multicultural diversity.
